Agreement to Our Legal Terms
We are AKAL AI ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), a business operating in Ontario, Canada. We operate the website https://akalai.co/ (the "Site"), as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to these legal terms (the "Legal Terms") (collectively, the "Services").

These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and AKAL AI, concerning your access to and use of the Services. You agree that by accessing the Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Legal Terms.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
1.Our Services
The information provided when using the Services is not intended for distribution to or use by any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such distribution would be contrary to law. AKAL AI is an Ontario-based business; users accessing the site from other locations are responsible for compliance with their local laws.
2.Intellectual Property Rights
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Services, including all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics (collectively, the "Content"), as well as the trademarks and logos ("Marks"). Our Content and Marks are protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark laws.
3.User Representations
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:
• You have the legal capacity to comply with these terms.
• You are at least the age of majority in Ontario (18).
• You will not access the Services through automated or non-human means (bots, scripts).
• Your use of the Services will not violate any applicable Canadian law or regulation.
4.Purchases and Payment
We accept various forms of payment including major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) and digital processors (Stripe/PayPal). You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase information. Prices are subject to change. Unless otherwise stated, all prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Under Ontario law, applicable Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) will be added to the price of purchases.
5.Subscriptions & Cancellation
Billing: Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid term.
6.Refund Policy
Subject to the Consumer Protection Act (Ontario), all sales are final and no refunds will be issued unless otherwise required by law or specified in a separate service agreement.
7.Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services for any purpose other than that for which we make them available. Prohibited activities include:
• Using the Services for "deepfakes" or deceptive AI-generated content that violates third-party rights.
• Circumventing security features or attempting to reverse engineer the AI software.
• Using the Services to generate hate speech or illegal content according to the Criminal Code of Canada.
8.Privacy Policy
We care about data privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect and use your data in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). By using the Services, you consent to the processing of your data in Canada.
9.Governing Law
These Legal Terms and your use of the Services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
10.Dispute Resolution
To expedite resolution and control the cost of any dispute, you and AKAL AI agree to first attempt to negotiate any dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days before initiating any formal court proceedings.
11.Limitations of Liability
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY ONTARIO LAW, AKAL AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE AI SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO US DURING THE SIX (6) MONTH PERIOD PRIOR TO THE CAUSE OF ACTION.
